OVERNIGHT CAMPING AT ROVEY FARMS
The Rovey family operates a local dairy and has a series of farm fields at the southwest corner of West Camelback Road and North 99th Ave. They are excited about helping out the scouts and plan to prep the site for the best camping experience.
For the Scout-O-Rama (Arizona Scout Expo) camping experience, the best bet is to use the area where there used to be a couple of buildings, all that is remaining are the concrete slabs. This area would accommodate a campfire area, has a gravel parking lot and the scout tents could be pitched on the adjacent fields.
If we get rain or has rained, this area would still support vehicles and camper’s tents. You will need to bring your own water. The vehicle egress is a gravel road from Camelback Road, we would need a sign or banner to welcome scouts at the campsite entrance.
To the right are the site layouts, distance from the stadium and potential traffic flows.
Enjoy the O/A bonfire on Friday night!
This campout is a great way to earn a camping night for advancement.
